Music that Makes You Smile!
About Molly Hamilton
Singer, Songwriter, Entertainer
On June 16, 2007, destiny placed Molly Hamilton in the audience of billionaire, Bill Bartmann. As she listened to his message, Molly discovered the power of transforming goals into making Crazy Big Promises. It took only a few days for her personal Crazy Big Promise to crystallize and emerge – she would…
Write a song to positively affect the WORLD FOREVER!
And
The Make a Wonderful Day theme song and song project was born…
“My hope for the Make a Wonderful song project is that it will encourage people to consciously choose to see the good in each day and therefore make a wonderful day for themselves and others around them. That the positive music generated through this project will lift spirit’s, put people in a good mood and brighten their day every time they listen to it. And that it will foster more peace within the hearts of individuals and therefore generate greater good will throughout the world.”
When asked to describe what a wonderful day looks like to her, Molly replied, “Having a wonderful day is not so much a visual picture of something but more of a feeling of contentment. It is captured by the way I feel when surrounded by my family, friends and loved ones. It includes my relaxed feelings when enjoying a good book or when the warmth of the sun shines on my face.
The contentment I feel after a well received performance epitomizes this feeling. It is also how I feel each night, as I say thank you to the universe for all the good things in my life. It is the feeling of making a positive difference in the world and of course, love.”
Molly enjoys a successful musical career and stands out amongst professional musicians due to her deeply caring heart. She is driven to make as many people possible experience joy through music.
While most musicians say their passion is music, Molly will tell you her passion is seeing people smile, have fun, find inspiration and feel good from their heads to their toes during her performances.
Molly’s mission in life is to bring the joy and healing energy of music to the world. Make a Wonderful Day® is bursting with the energy of her mission.
Molly’s interest in music began by singing as a young child in her family’s car. From this humble beginning, she has gone on to perform for over 5000 audiences and millions of people.
In fact, one of Molly’s most cherished memories was being the featured entertainer at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, where she performed for crowds of 100,000+/night during her 16 performances.
Another memorable performance was during the half-time show of the 1993 Grey Cup in Calgary when her live performance, before 60,000 people, was televised across the continent to fifteen million.
From 1976 to 1990, Molly was the official entertainer and musical ambassador for the Calgary Stampede Promotion Committee. In 1989, she was awarded the celebrated Tourism Calgary’s White Hatter of the Year Award. This prestigious award is given to one person annually who was seen to have best demonstrated the western hospitality and friendliness of the city.
In 1992, Molly developed a unique family symphony concert entitled Every Cowboy Needs a Horse which combines country classics played by a full orchestra. She continues to perform with Symphony orchestras world wide as part of either their Family or Pops Concert series.
Molly was the special featured guest, with the Young Canadians on the World Renowned Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show in 1992, 1993 and 1996 performing for approx. 300,000 people for 11 nights each year.
Molly loves to perform for all ages and was voted the Best Children’s entertainer in Calgary by the “Calgary’s Child” publication. She also received an Alberta Recording Industries Association Award in the category of “Best Children’s Artist of the Year.”
Her most recent activities include developing and delivering a new Artist-in-School residency program where she writes and records original positive songs with school children using the Make a Wonderful Day® theme. She is also the co-founder of a new non-profit organization called The Wonderful Music Foundation which provides live music, recorded music and audio visual equipment to hospitals and hospices.
Molly’s music career has now spanned three decades and has literally tickled millions of people’s hearts around the world. Molly’s hope is that people will get actively involved in the Make a Wonderful Day project and share it with others so they too can make a difference in the lives of individuals and the world. And that people will show more love, have more hope, show more gratitude and foster more charity in their lives.”
Molly believes you have a choice to make a wonderful day. The need for peace and understanding is urgent and the Make a Wonderful Day® project can make a significant contribution to positively affect the world forever!
